Meet Trevor

Trevor heads the construction arm of Carber Construction and Consultancy, and brings over 30 years of expertise to the company. His journey began in the Royal Navy, where he served as a submariner and watch leader during the Falklands conflict. After leaving the Navy in 1988, Trevor retrained as a carpenter and electrician, launching a successful career in construction. His experience includes running a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom business, as well as managing small building projects and overseeing new builds, renovations, and barn conversions across the UK, from the South West to Scotland.

As a site manager and later a project manager, Trevor gained extensive knowledge in working with listed buildings, multi-storey flat complexes with underground parking, and hotel refurbishments that included restaurants, bars, and leisure facilities. He has also completed various residential projects and implemented solar and ground source heating systems. Trevor’s dedication to quality is particularly evident in his work in healthcare construction, where he has built new dental practices, including decontamination rooms, and planned dental surgeries to meet current regulations. His experience also extends to planning and costing for a new dental school and preparing food processing areas and freezer compartments.

Trevor’s work ethic, dynamic approach, and meticulous attention to detail are reflected in every project he undertakes, making him a cornerstone of Carber Construction and Consultancy.

Trevor heads up the Construction arm of Business

Trevor has managed or Run construction companies for over 30 years, previously Trevor served 10 years in Royal Navy as a Submariner, on leaving Navy Trevor retrained as Carpenter and Electrician and has been in Construction ever since. Trevor’s work ethic and dynamism and attention to detail shows in every project delivers.

  1. Spent Ten years in the Submarine service. Watch leader during Falklands conflict
  2. Left RN in 1988 retrained as electrician and then Carpenter and Joiner
  3. Ran Kitchen, Bedroom and bathroom business.
  4. Did plastering and building course.
  5. Ran small building business
  6. Worked as Site manager for independent building company carrying out New builds, Renovations, Barn conversions, Listed buildings from South West to Scotland.
  7. Promoted to Project manager for the same company. Left in 2005 to set up Own Construction Company.

Meet Neil Carter

Neil Carter heads the consultancy arm of Carber Construction and Consultancy, leveraging his extensive experience in the construction industry that spans over 40 years. His journey began as a bricklayer apprentice, where he honed his trade skills and developed a strong foundation in the industry. From these humble beginnings, Neil advanced through the ranks, taking on nearly every supervisory and management role available. This progression has equipped him with a deep, hands-on understanding of the construction process from the ground up, allowing him to bring a unique perspective to project management.

Neil’s philosophy of “cutting through the mire to get things done” is more than just a work ethic—it’s a guiding principle that influences every aspect of his life. He believes in clear communication, decisive action, and a no-nonsense approach to problem-solving, which enables him to consistently meet and exceed client expectations. Whether managing large-scale commercial projects or more intimate residential builds, Neil’s dedication to excellence and his unwavering focus on client satisfaction are evident in every project he undertakes.
